And who does more wrong than the one who is remembered with verses of his Lord, then neglects them; indeed We will take revenge with such Mujirims.
The hypocritical transgressors who knowingly hide Adhikr and its 40 names are the wrongdoers and the Mujirims. In verse 6: 21, it is asked: “Who is more of a wrongdoer than the one who forges a lie upon Lord Allah, or the one who rejects His verses? Indeed, He will not make the wrongdoers succeed.” Verse 10: 17 says: “Who is more of a wrongdoer than the one who forges a lie upon Allah, or the one who rejects His verses? Indeed, He will not make the Mujirims prosper.” It is stated in verse 10: 33 that the word of the Lord comes true upon the transgressors that indeed they will never believe.
The heedless followers of these hypocrites may change their attitude if they are reminded of Adhikr, as stated in verse 36: 6. But if they continue in denial after being reminded of Adhikr, they will also be filled in Hell, as explained in verse 7: 179. It is mentioned in verses 36: 10-11 that it is the same whether you warn them or do not warn them—they will not believe. Your warning will only benefit those who follow Adhikr and fear the Impartial Lord unseen; then give them glad tidings of forgiveness and an honorable reward. These wrongdoers and their blind followers, at the time of their death, will witness against their souls that indeed they were disbelievers, as explained in verse 7: 37. See explanation 1: 7; 2: 254 and 6: 55.
